Kei Matsushita

Kei Matsushita
Born in Yokohama in 1961.
Graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts, Design Course,where he currently serves as an associate professor.
After completing the postgraduate study at the school, he established Kei Matsushita Design Room in 1990.
Major works include symbol and logo for the Japan pavilion, Expo 2002 in Hannover, Germany; sign, pamphlets and website direction for Benesse Art Site Naoshima; branding for“YUICHI”, the oil paint co-developed by Holbein Works and Tokyo University of the Arts; direction of exhibition catalogues for 21_21 Design Sight; and art direction for Takeo Paper Show 2009.
His awards to date include the JAGDA New Designer Award; the ADC Award; the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Prize; and the Good Design Award.
Member of Alliance Graphic Internationale (AGI).
